Momomama
Bill's in Alaska until November 1st and I am miserable. Moses, on the other hand, could not be happier. Last night he sat on my lap for half and hour. Then slept on Bill's pillow all night.
And I let him.
So one of our toilets at work does not like to flush. Usually the first flush gets rid of MOST of your deposit, but you need a second flush to get rid of the toilet paper.
This morning, I peed. I then hit the flusher, and turned and bent to straighten my pants cuff. At that very moment, the toilet decided to shoot a stream of pee water INTO THE SIDE OF MY FACE. I had not moved aside, because normally the malfunctioning toilet is a wimpy flusher, and even so, who would expect THAT!
Turns out that by sending a stream at the user, the toilet can manage to flush the first time, because then, the pee is on HER, instead of taking up precious room the toilet paper needs.
Winter can come. We finally have all of our wood. Of course it has just been dumped in two piles in front of the house, but it's there.
We saved some money this year, getting it all at once, instead of a load now and a load in October, when the price has gone up. Last year we had EXACTLY the right amount too. We stopped having fires and wood on the same day and never looked back. This year we have a little cushion, as a friend gave us a small stack already.
I love heating with wood. It takes away the chill in the kitchen the fireplace never reaches and makes our house THE BEST for winter time breadmaking and dough rising. What I hate is the moments of panic I have when things get too hot and the pipe starts to crackle. But Bill assures me that our chimney and pipe cleaning regimen is just fine.
Moses has a coversation with the belly.
