Will everyone out in blogland pray for/think of/hold in the light my friend and coworker CT? She's fighting breast cancer and she has an incredible amount of fire and spunk, but right now she could use any extra we can give her.
The thing that I don't like about fall: on those incredible cool mornings where you want to snuggle down in bed til it warms up, which it will, of course, Bill is not around to keep me tucked in.

That's why I was so happy this morning. Last night a cold front went through and the temp must have gone down to at least the 50s in the night. I got retucked THREE times before I actually had to get up and go to work.

This weekend confirmed for me that my dream car is indeed the Subaru Outback Station wagon. We reserved a sub compact economy car, but our charm and good looks got us a free upgrade. (Take that, constipated looking Germans who were in line next to us and who drove off in the tin can!) I only got to drive it once, but I liked it. And it was very nice to be a passenger. Even Bill approved and he hates anything that is not a truck! Now, if I could only find one for freeeeeeeeeeeeee.....So nice to not have a car payment!

  To whom it may concern,

This past weekend my husband and I flew I********** Air for the first time. Overall we were impressed with the staff and service, and were especially thankful to the folks in Burlington who got us on an earlier flight out in anticipation of thunderstorms. That was really nice!

On our flight back yesterday, however, I had not yet eaten my snack of chips when the plane was getting ready to land. The flight attendant came by and insisted I had to give them back, even though they were unopened. He took the chips and then threw the bag away, citing a “rule”. I thought it was rather rude and have never come up against this rule before…Perhaps you should warn your attendants that in the future, they might not want to enforce it with pregnant women, like me, as we can be very unpredictable when denied food, just ask my husband.

Thank you,

Martha Stahl

I have an obnoxious co-worker who gets up in everyone's business. I saw her do that twice whilst we were on our way to the break room where another co-worker had set up a spread of bagels and donuts. The medical staff had already picked over the goodies and there was a mall, but nice selection remaining. I took a giant fritter. She asked if I was going to eat the whole thing. Did she want any? No. She just thought I should only take half. I am pregnant, bizatch! don't tell a preggo not to eat something! Expecially not a preggo who threw up ON her breakfast on the way into work.

When I get mad and frustrated at anything Bill and I have found the cure is to picture this person in my mind. And punch her. Repeatedly. Does this make me a bad person? Probably.

My darling husband and I spent our first anniversary driving through three states - Massachusetts, Vermont and NY (him), puking in the Orvis parking lot in Manchester, VT (me), and dining at our favorite restaurant in Lake Placid (both.) Really, there's no better way to say I love you.

But we like to spread things out and celebrated our marriage on Saturday at cousin Shelly's wedding at the coolest structure in the Berkshires. On Monday we celebrated with some yachting in our 16 foot aluminum skiff on Lake Placid. They made the fireworks, just for us. I also engaged in topless, pregnant sun bathing. Which may have been the greatest gift I could have given my husband after one year of marital bliss...
If I don't get drool on you, he will.
