Last night I dreamed that Bill and I were moving back to my hometown and I needed to get a job. So I did the logical thing and went straight to the elementary school I attended. I had an appointment, of course. But I had to convice someone to show me around so I befriended a young teacher. We finally met the principal in the staff lounge...which was actually a lovely bar. I spent the rest of the dream convincing him that he could invent a job for me that used my skills and did not involved teaching of any kind. I succeeded. Damn I am GOOD!
Tomorrow, Bill and I will be engaged in some canoeing and naked swimming. Our motorboat should be ready to hit the lake soon...it just needs an oil change! Then we have plans for a picnic dinner at Valcour Island. We are THAT romantic.
Today I saw a giant turtle in almost the same place I saw the bear. Turtle was headed in the same direction. I didn't have the heart to tell him that he was REALLY far behind.
Saw a great galumphing bear this morning on my way to work!
It ran across the road about 150 yards in front of my car. Blink, and you would miss it!
It is unbearably hot and humid here. This weekend Bill and I gave up all ideas of fishing and productivity for a long long ride in the air conditioned comfort of the truck. Would have been more comfortable had he cleaned out the truck befopre the ride, rather than after. Still, very nice.
Friday Bill mowed the lawn with our brand new gas mower. Anyone wanna buy a reel mower, cheap?
Sorry, I just can't get it together enough for a real post!
